Well... This is my third day, and I'm enjoying the job so far.

I've been going in late (about half 9) and finishing early (about 4) and I've made what I'd expect to make working those hours.
After Monday I'll start putting the full day in, but I've been taking it easy this week to get used to things.
All in all, I'm happy - and I expect to find it easier / probably see takings increase a bit as I get to know the job more.
Bank holiday Friday started slow but picked up a bit as the day went on - just as I'd expected. I reckon Monday will be much the same.

We'll see what happens...

You must be doing well, considering Easter is a notoriously quiet period of the year!!

Is it? Thursday night was a stormer, Good Friday was as always quietly steady, not sure how tonight will turn out but Sunday night should be good and if Monday is anything like any other bank holiday Monday one should take out a pillow.

Out of curiousity wirralph was that 9am or 9pm?

That's 9 in the morning until teatime, I've just been doing the days to begin with.
And yes, Friday was steady. Not good, but not dead.

I have to dissagree  Working days involves parents with children they can't or won't control, hygienically challenged, smack heads going the post office then to suppliers then home waffling cr@p, the know all dole addicted who think you're earning a fortune and last but not least the alcoholics who indeed have an aroma of their own that is certainly not pleasant. At least at night most of these people are at home.

Where has wirralph gone? Is it that he is now working so many hours he hasn't time to check out the forum

What kind of world do you live in toots?....Daytime work up here consists of Charming and well heeled school children heading off to Shangrilla Primary school (Angels and Cherubs one and all), Mothers heading off to the local Village shop to buy the essentials that they need to ensure that "their mans" Dinner is on the table after he's had a hard day at the office.

Other runs include friendly old dears requiring my services over those of the Volunteer groups in order to spend their generous pension, visit the local cottage hospital, corn club, dentists or hair dressers...these same lovely old souls that always tip and knit me things at Christmas.

My favourite though is the taking the less fortunate people with varying Habits to their place of rehabilitation or their clinic...it has a such a rewarding feeling that to charge for such soul cleansing work fills me with guilt..this is compounded by their rivetting conversation and refeshingly optimistic views on life, its just so pleasurable to see their wee faces light up as they leave the local store clutching their Diamond white or Bottle of Buckie..

So my dear Toots...I challenge you to explain how something can be not right about day time work over night time work...after all, some people at night take drink and get drunk...brrrrrr..that thought chills me to the very bone.

P.S...Maybe wirralph has decided just to work days when theres enough money to be made to allow him the night off....such is life in this Modern utopia we call Britain.

Generally on the whole Tootsville is a peaceful place of relaxation and pure pleasure, but, occasionally one has to step outside her utopia to finance some of the purer pleasures that would otherwise evade her. Having decided on this it was then determined that a person all dressed up and ready to go out or somebody who has issues with public transport at that time of night was indeed a better option to the day time clientele. Apart from all that the damned traffic in the daytime hours is a nightmare I'd rather not endure

How can we apply for a Passport to Tootsvillesland with a view to emigrating their from the land of daylight...do we need a torch or any other specialised equipment? It sounds such a lovely place ...Ive also heard that Tootsvillelands head of State (Queen Toots the 1st) is such a kind and wise soul...

I wanna Visit it.... =P~

I do believe the borders are closed unless of course you have a skill that would be useful in the land of Tootsville that is not already available to SWRTR

I can make a mean pan of Stovies....a rare Scottish delicacy much sought after by royalty all over the civilised world...that alone should qualify me for Citizenship of most countries.

Any old hows....what does SWRTR stand for??
