Does your LA have a minimum engine size and how strict is it applied (i.e. if it states "1800cc" and you want to plate a 1.8 model that comes in ay 1750cc do they allow it?)

1600cc here but cant get confirmation a Focus 1.6 (1560cc) is acceptable, buying before knowing could be a mistake

up the road 8 miles another LA accepts 1250cc engine sizes

1600cc but reduction to 1400cc may be included in review going before committee

Ours is 1600cc, but I would be amazed if a 1550cc was rejected on that basis alone.

They all need reviewed...A modern 1.6 diesel engine delivers more torque than a 2lt diesel did only a couple of years ago...even the small 1.4lt diesels perform adequatley.

And they lump Petrol or Diesels in the same Minimum size even though their power outputs are quite different...maybe they should base it on engine Brake Horse Power orTorque rather than Cubic Capacity..or is that too technical for them :-k

That would require a change in the conditions though because it would seem that the LA's all use cc as the measurment.

HP has been superceded by the EU standard of PS and/or KW already
