HI ALL
MY TX2 HAS NOW FAILED PSV ON THE HAND BRAKE 3 TIMES NEW CABLES NEW SHOES NEW DRUMS STILL FAILING ANY IDEAS

what exactly does the fail/advisory note say?

efficiency, balance or adjustment?

did you get the brake meter readings left/right, etc?

new shoes and drums (or pads/discs) take a few miles to bed in

lack of efficiency is usually the amount of drag from the shoes, i.e. glazed linings, naffed drums, in your case, having all new, they should bed in, the garage should have cleaned the drum faces as they come covered with a coating (anti-rust) and given the shoes a quick rub with some coarse glasspaper, all to increase fricton and decrease bedding in

I probably get the rear drums adjusted every month on my TX2, and the front / rear pipes bled every 2 - 3 months for about £20.

I've just accepted the brakes are crap on LTI taxis.

agreed
not a good idea to replace shoes and drums at test time,they do take some time to bed in.
try driving about with the handbrake on a little,then clean them out and adjust the self adjusters. if it needs more you might get some out the cable.

my lads (new driver alert!) KAs brakes felt dire to me so i took it for a brake test

240 fronts, 90 rears before a strip/check/rebuild

glad ive got vented discs all round
