Taxi driver asked to remove CCTV

A taxi driver in Monmouthshire has been asked to remove the CCTV he has installed in his cab.

Nigel Webb has placed a camera on the dashboard after several incidents of vandalism and has notices informing passengers it is there.

He says the device is for his safety and that of passengers.

But Monmouthshire council, the licensing authority, has asked him to take it out. Sian Lloyd reports.

The council have got the hump because they haven't approved it.

Well tough sh** to them.

Are they waiting until a driver gets killed before they get their act together and approve something?

I have come to the conclusion that most city councils are full of people that would not stand a chance in hell if they were in the private sector.... :-|
