Sorry, lads, for that goal. Yet, it wouldn´t have changed much, would it? Cheer up, it´s only a game!

But we now have to look at the plus side of England coming home.

We will now not have to spend half our life taking about football to people who haven't got a clue, but know everything.

And those people can now take those bloody flags off their cabs, drives me mad.

And as for women with football tops on, is there anything more hypocritical than that? They know f*** all about it.

I couldn't agree more.

Our team was sh**, and there is nothing anyone in this country or on this forum could do about it.

Maybe in 2018 we can win again on home soil.

Absolutely nailed by the German hammer!!!

Well done Germany & it could have been 7-1.

My only regret & I think it will also be world football's regret is that Germany did not win 2-1.

Because if the score had remained 2-1 that ar*ehole of a Swiss lawyer Sepp Blatter, who on his own, before the World Cup started, decreed that there would be no 'goal-line technology - fifth official', would have had to listen to the clamour for this technology.

'Goal-line technology' is fair to all teams & football without it is still in the dark ages.

How is it allowed, that the president of FIFA can issue dictates like this, have a secret salary, be allegedly involved in bribery during his 2002 re-election, etc, etc.

Why is football, the biggest sport in the world governed by a secretive, shadowy organisation like FIFA. Very little is transparent when it comes to FIFA executives salaries etc.

And for one man, to say no to 'goal-line technology' on the eve of the World Cup, when all the participant teams & the world of football is clamouring for it, is just plain wrong.

Perhaps Longine, Omega, Hublot & the other have just not come up with a bribe big enough . . . . yet!

Or more likely, they are all honest time-keepers.

Well done again Germany & you now have a double satisfaction; 4-1 today & 1-1 now for goals that bounce off the bar & over the line.

Well said Brummie blatter should take a long hard look at himself. If that Goal had stood the result might have been different but in all honesty the Germans played England of the park.
To bring someone on that dose not score goals also says alot about the manager.

So turn up the volume and listen to what the England player are singing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbM2BarUOfY

FIFA:
Well, first, the German team played quite unexpectedly quite amazingly well, I am positively surprised! It´s too bad about the no-goal, it spoils everything a bit, undeservedly.
Then, I definitely agree on Sepp Blatter being an a...hole, there is even in Zurich (which he slags off, by the way) a great deal of agreement about it. I have had a lot of fares to and from the FIFA, by the way, yet always small fry, one time folks from England who had done the official FIFA computer-game. Then, I also agree on it being a Mafia. Yet, I may quote a swiss online-paper from just this moment:
Man darf aber auch nicht vergessen, warum es die Torlinien-Technologie noch nicht gibt. Die Regelkommission bestehend aus je einem Herrn aus England, Schottland, Nordirland und Wales hatte sich die dagegen ausgesprochen. Die Engländer brauchen also nicht weit suchen...
Means: "One must not forget why the technology does not exist, yet. The comittee concerning this rule, consisting of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales has spoken against it. So, the English can only blame themselves..."

I suppose we now need to start discussing who will win the World Cup now & on this showing Germany do have a great chance.

FACT; Germany have never had a period of more than 20 years in between their World Cup wins & the last time they won the World Cup was in . . . . . 1990!!

Yes. Germany looked good but i do not think they will win it.I really enjoyed the Japanese but when they come up against a better side they will struggle.Looking forward to Argentina tonight they could be in with a shot.

You are quite right. It would have been 4-2. :? Just exactly where were our defence for the 3rd and 4th goals?

QUIZ QUESTION;
(And the answer might surprise you)

From the inception of The World Cup in 1930, there have now been 18 World Cup tournament, not counting the present 2010 FIFA World Cup.

How many times have the following teams been in the TOP FOUR in the competition, i.e. finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th?

1. Argentina
2. Brazil
3. Germany (West or Unified)
4. Italy

And doesn't that tell a story.

Everyone always talks about Brazil, Argentina & Italy & forget about quiet Germany.

And they come down the inside rail to be the most successful team ever at all World Cup tournaments.
