Horse-drawn taxi plan for historic town
Visitors to Ironbridge could soon be transported back to Victorian times with the introduction of a horse-drawn taxi service. An entrepreneur hopes to use a wagonette pulled by two shire horses to carry 12 to 16 paying passengers at a time alongside the River Severn.
Borough councillors are being asked to issue a licence for the scheme under the Town Police Clauses Act of 1847.
In a report to the borough licensing board on Tuesday, officers recommend councillors to adopt the rules to enable the scheme to go ahead.
so a WAV accessible horse then?
