Not aimed at you David, but 'the thinker', in response to an earlier post by him that would appear to have been withdrawn now, sorry to disappoint you

Found this article in which one of rebels says he wants to de-regulate!!

Do you really know me, I do not think so! you are just trying to wind people up,

"All my life" ( did not see you in Aden in the 50s, Austrailia in the 60s as a £10 pomme or in Germany/ N Ireland in the 80s)
By the way get your facts right I am not getting any plate.

I did not know who you were until I saw your picture in the paper, if you were in Aden in the 50's then you must be well into your 70's by now. You are correct when you say you are not gettin a plate, as it will be in the name of your partner but still in the same camp.

I tried hackneys once driving a rented car with another driver, but the bitchiness was terrible, plus he never properly filled it with diesel and would not clean it and smoked like a chimney which was allowed in those days, and at least on PH you know who you are picking up, hackneys its a complete mystery, you are more than welcome to it.

I would assume there will be more, as if they are not the law is being broken.

Will you lot stop bitching about who knows who the best ! Lets just accept that those who have asked for the plates are getting them, nothing anyone says or does is going to change that, we're all in the same job and theres only a fine line betweem Hackney and PH, we all pick up regulars and we all pick up strangers. We are all vulnerable and all open to abuse and violence. None of us know who we are picking up all the time, however I would suggest PH are as vulnerable as Hackney and this has been proved recently by PH drivers been sent into 'traps' to pick up and subsequently being robbed and injured in the process. Bout time we all worked together rather than against each other. We are all Taxi drivers and we're all out there to provide for our famillies and earn a living, so come on you lot, lets try make sure we all get home safely at the end of our shifts, bout time we all joined together to try ensure the safety of us all. Alot of us have done both PH and Hackney and know wot its like on both sides of the street. Id hate to think any driver was seriously injured because of internal bickering and arguments, we are what we are and we do what we do. Think about it !!!!

I wonder if some people are feeling just a little peeeeed off cos they paid thousands of pounds for something they could have had for nothing all along ? I think I would be ! Anyone want to buy a street lamp, piece of footpath or stretch of road ? They're owned by the council but im sure someone will take ure money if you're interested ! Could be a good investment ! ! ! !

Why didn't the council just revoke all those licenses as they have been fraudulently licensed?

They've done that in the past havent they.....York vs. Thornton?

Seems to me that the people who have aquired the licenses had effectively by passed any waiting list York had.......I think if I was on the waiting list I'd be slightly miffed.

No we like to sleep at night, and that is something that money cannot buy.

Not that you would know about that.
