Could folks please learn to use the quotes function?

Nightmare to follow otherwise.

Perhaps a step by step instruction in admin section would be useful for some to follow and learn how to use the quote buttons

Now, now Ms Toots!!

Slow down you're going too fast for some.

Forget step by step instructions on using the quote function & do step by step instructions on how to Log on first.

Then when they've mastered that, it's step by step instructions in how to use the quote function.

Mind you, with the 'Hypnotic Thinker' on this thread is it little wonder??

What you mean along the lines of;

Step 1. Click the quotes button.

Step 2. There isn't a step 2.

Please accept my apologies, I was informed that there had been two letters to East Coast, and I mistakenly believed that one of the other parties had written when in fact both communications were from you,

Wate of time an apology as we both know you do not mean it?

There were two e-mails to East Coast,(they got the second one as they did not answer the first one)
The E-mail were
Not for Station Taxi's (mr Hatfield and anyone else he wants to gossip with while holding up the rank moving forward)
Not for Hackney Drivers plate owners, river wideners and anything else Association

These were private e-mails from me to another company, they decided to pass these e-mails on to the crazy gang, You have then used that info on a public forum

As I have said I will not be kept quiet by the people who think they run all Hackney's in York, they don't some of us are independant and we will work where and when we can, if not at the station so be it, as it was the principle and not my dying wish to work under the rules of people who have decided that they know what is best for everyone else.
My apology was sincere and I will offer it to you in person if you would care to meet me, I will be at the racecourse tomorrow.

The person claiming the licence has paid for it via rent so he now gets a free ride having paid more than the original buyer so in the long run both will have paid out and both will have got their money back, Simples

FFS

Each quote must begin with a 'tag' and end with one as well.

The closing tag is
The opening tag is
[I've done them the wrong way round because otherwise they would show as an actual quote in this post 8)]

The problem with the several previous posts is that the opening tag isn't complete - it should have a closing square bracket like this ]

If you want to include someone's name then the tag at the start is
but the closing tag is just the same.

By the way, anyone having trouble with quotes should click the 'Preview' button rather than 'Submit' before finishing up.

That way you can see what it looks like before submitting it, and you can make any necessary adjustments.

After posting it you can also use the 'edit' button at the top right corner of your post to make adjustments.

Perhaps if the thinker had thunk a bit more he would have thought that not all drivers can raise the money to buy a plate.

Some can't even finance a second hand motor, never mind a plate, which would probably need a substantial amount of security, like equity on a house.

You can also just highlight the text you wish to quote and hit the quote button at the top the page when you're on the 'post a reply' bit

Indeed, and this gives the same result as using the quote button on the original post, but clearly some posters are taking bits out of the software-generated tags, which is causing the problems.
