A Lincoln taxi driver was hospitalised on saturday after an attack by a motorist who took exception to his driving standards. Don't know too much detail at the moment, but the 65 year old is in hospital with a broken hip, and will be off work for some time. Is due to be operated on later today.

The police are looking for the assailant.

More details to follow when I have them, speculation being rife at the moment.

Get well soon, friend.

I find that in most cases the victim often has done little wrong other than be in the way of someone who wants to drive wrecklessly or is in a bad mood. Heres wishing the guy a speedy recovery and hoping that the police get the assailant however this is lincolnshire police we are talking about here
