And this is of interest to this forum because........................ :? :roll:

. . . limousines that are capable of carrying no more than eight passengers now have to be licensed as Private Hire Vehicles in Birmingham & I suspect many other LAs.

And that, IMHO, is a good enough reason for inclusion on this Forum!!

:wink: :wink: :wink:

But this is a matter for the NLcA to sort out now.

That's as may be.

But you asked, 'this is of interest to this forum because . . . '

And I gave a reason why it is of interest to this forum.

According to Bill Limo drivers need to grow up.

Just for the record does anyone exactly how many members of the NLCA are running illegally? :sad:

I wonder if this one was operating legally.

The owner of that limo is Stuart Thomas. He has been running limousine for many years. In fact I bought 2 limos from his sister in my early years in limoland. I believe that he is licensed. He is also a member of the NLcA.
However this particular vehicle had just been purchased from a company near me and he had taken it for an MOT.
Unfortunatly whilst going through the brake test a brake pipe burst. The vehicle therfore failed the MOT. I don't know the thinking behind the next bit but I am told that Stuart decided to drive the vehicle home to fix the brake pipe. On the way down the hill in the picture, suprisingly the vehicle picked up speed. Unable to stop the vehicle due to the brake failure Stuart decided to try to stop the limo by steering into the hedge. unfortunatly the limo hit something and flipped over.

The very least I can say about that is;

HOW F*CKING IRRESPONSIBLE!!

For the price of a good meal to get it repaired at the garage, it has probably cost the guy a grand or three or more!!

And he could have hit a perfectly innocent Hackney Carriage driver, going about his daily business, as he lost control going down the hill.
