That brings it back to boats - it's supposed to be about the Captains' "less than superb" AKA "Sod breaks up".

You know how he hates it when threads go off topic.

I suggest either:

1. Your insurers have gone bust and the Solicitor has been appointed as receiver.

2. Your insurers have got so used to you they redirect your calls automatically.

Finally, I presume you are "medallion man" on Club 18 - 30 holidays.

I suggest you:

1. Work busy times so the sound of traffic covers the gearbox whine.

2. Only work in daylight - the headlights won't be needed.

3. Work in cold, wet weather - you have every excuse to leave your window:

a. Up.

b. In situ.

4. When busses are not on the road - for safety.

Any other problem with which I can assist?

Well if you'd suggested you wanted entertainment as well I may have come up with something to fulfil that need, but, you didn't so a light bulb is what I recommend.

Anyone tried changing a lamp in the nearside of a TX4?

Now that really is entertaining.

And the entertainment goes on for ages.

Glad I'm too tall for a TX.

Relieved I'm too good looking for a Sod Breaks Up.
