The best PM this country has had since Winston (another Tory, just by co-incidence)

Labour had to throw up a Tory-clone (Blair) to get into power, it must have killed all those sour faced Old Labourites and union leaders, they went along with it to gain power, so much for thier principles

How many apartements in Bristol did the Blairs buy?...

The best for the rich.,,,,,,the social effects of Thatcher were and continue to be devastating.

But you mention Blair, as Georhe Galloway stated upon Blair being made a middle east peace envoy, thats a like Harold Shipman being made president of help the aged.

Personally, I think both Thatcher and Blair were two peas of the same pod, a pair of c*nts.

ALL politicians are "for the rich", the difference is most tories ARE rich, most labour USED to start poor, not so now.

and how long will maggie be a scapegoat for (how long) of blair rule?

most nowadays cant even remember maggie being in power but still blame her, "thatcher the snatcher"......pmsl, the fact is schools STILL get milk money but choose not to spend it on milk!

You defend Thatcher as much as you want, I personally hope she dies.

Personally I think that it is a terrible thing to hope that anyone dies and in this case you should be ashamed of yourself.

1. It got repealed, but WAS fairer
2. How many on the dole today (please add those hiding as "invalidty" claimants)
3. The right to buy was continued by Labour
4. Joe Public bought shares!
5. and?
6. Some dont claim, 3 Labour MPs up on charges!
7. Is that like now, with low BofE rates and high lending charges?
8. The schools take the cash now (ask em)
9. Oh good......

Speaking as an ex-miner, ex-NUM member Im GLAD there are no (well very few) pits, but dont blame maggie, she didnt bring the membership out on strike in the summer, when there were record coal stockpiles.
And Scargill STILL has his NUM flat and car....

He set families against each other, dad against son, brother against brother and ripped some communities apart for personal glory, he didnt lose, but they did

Going back to "4"

Scargill didnt shout about this did he...

Quote:
Scargill founded the Socialist Labour Party on 13 January 1996, although the party was launched officially on 4 May 1996, after the Labour Party abandoned the original wording of Clause IV - the nationalisation of key industries and utilities - in its constitution.

Thats when Labour decided "Tory" was best!

I think maggie was a good PM, far better than most of the others, ive never liked Labour especially Blair, he gave me the creeps

Not all miners have to be 100% labour devotees, many bought thier council/coal board housing and shares in BT and British gas, some even now work for themselves, hell some are even taxi drivers!
