Insignificant to the debate

No more or less than your offering.
And no more likely to come to pass..........

Totally different to the options i'm about

The Trade in EDINBURGH not Aberdeen has gone to far with plate value's, the council will not go down the road like Aberdeen and de-restrict especially when there is a way like New York to make money out it's taxi trade

The option of de-restriction only opens the door to profiteers and infiltrators and especially in Edinburgh, it's too much of a risk

I'm sure there is profiteering now going on in Dundee and Aberdeen, infiltration by organised crime will also become a problem if not now but soon, care to elaborate or are you one of the above

how the feck can you profiteer in a derestricted market dougie.

honestly the mind boggles with you
have you even considered your own argument

The Hon Lord Turnbull (Alan Turnbull)

Lord Turnbull was appointed a Judge in 2006. He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1982 and took silk in 1996. Initially he was in general practice at the Bar, instructed in a range of civil matters and employment cases before the Industrial Tribunals. By 1988 he had come to be instructed as defence counsel in criminal cases and from then on he appeared mainly in the High Court of Justiciary or in the Court of Appeal.

From January 1995 to December 1997 he served as an Advocate Depute. In September of 1998 he was engaged as one of the two senior counsel leading the Crown team in the preparation for, and conduct of, the Lockerbie bombing trial. He also appeared for the Crown in the subsequent appeal proceedings. In February 2001 he was appointed as Principal Advocate Depute, a position he held until his return to private practice in January 2006.
