The Shore to the Bush estate. Quoted £25 to £30.

It clocked £36.

I gave it for the top price £30 I quoted.

It's really silly boys.

This was just a wee lassie and her boyfriend going home to mum for Christmas.

Common sense has to prevail, surely?

I went out at 3.50am thinking I will get the stragglers etc from the Clubs!!!Edinburgh streets were deserted at that time, I have never seen the streets so quiet, if this is what we are facing then I will give Xmas a big miss as I'd rather stay in my kip for what I earned after diesiel rent etc, bloody not worth it, i have had better mornings during the week without Tarrif 4

makes me larf how taxi drivers (well some) are scared [edited by admin] to charge a decent rate for xmas+new years (and any bnak holiday) when PAYE employees at many places get treble time (our lad included) and a plumber wants at least 1 arm and leg for a callout on xmas day

You have to get the balance right, too low and it's ain't worth it, too high and punters walk/bus/ring mum etc.

I think 21.00pm is a reasonable time to start, and meter and a half is a reasonable price to charge.

That said, the days of me working Xmas Eve night are long gone.

I shall cherry-pick new years eve and supply a dedicated and prompt service at extreme cost

Good luck then.

My experience is that the high tariff scares peoiple away.

Last time I had £95 at 12.30 when it went manic with wall to wall drunks.

I'd have made more first half with the normal tariff.

As for the 2nd, the tariff is a killer. Too much too long.,
