Think age or the drink is catching up with you, was replying to the post of "its new year".As for your other post i choose to drive a fairway over a tx2 if you know the difference ? trawling older posts ... Id lay off the sauce if i was you !

On another note to all who dispute not using the meter. Here in blackpool the companys have mixed fleets of ph and hackney. So you ring up and ask to go to Preston/bolton/manchester and you will be given a price. You then turn up in a hackney and your going on a quoted fare NO METER.They also do fixed fares within the borough NO METER.Were also allowed to run a taxi sharing scheme which is priced per person NO METER.

I think your grammar is more to blame than the sherry old bean

"By the way have a fairway and tx2 and honestly choose the fairway for myself."

It reads as WE have a fairway and a Tx2...."

what year would your fairway be if you dont mind me asking, i.e. a P N or M reg?

We means the plural, anyway doesnt matter, my grammer isnt that important and its a 1997 last of the fairway if thats relevant. Why no comment on the original meter thing, is it because you dont like to admit when your wrong ?

Hackneys (of all shapes) have (usually) meters and should use them, the public expect it, i hope this matter never jumps up and bites you mate

Dont know why your so bothered about this but let me tell you the majority of people who ask to go outside blackpool usually ask "how much" anyway.Maybe your from some inland place not used to dealing with tourists and locals alike ?Or maybe your just out of touch.Out of curiosity why did you want to know the year of my cab ? But on a final note would you not like to admit your wrong about the use of meters or cant you bear to x

as it was you who first asked about wether or not you are obliged to use your meter id say you should refer to your LA, but i doubt many hacks would avoid using the meter as you seem to want to, maybe you dont want a record of your trips/takings?

id know if i needed to use a meter, in fact i didnt need to ask, it was there and i used it, same rate for every mile (or part of) in or out the LA

our LA is a touristy city BTW, so no worries there

I dont know where you got the idea that i need to know if to use a meter or not ? But you dont seem to let it sink in that i dont ! As for" i doubt many hacks not using the meter" think you know (or dont like to admit) your way of the mark ! As ive said various times its for out of borough work i dont use it.Try getting a cab in most cities out of area and see your reply. What about london think its over 12 miles or heathrow lots of fixed fares, manchester airport fixed fares.Theres no shame in admitting when your wrong
p.s still not answered whats the relevance of the year of my cab

can you refuse fares in blackpool and decide when to use the meter or not?

blackpool wrote:
Sasha i know this is difficult for you, so ill try to explain it as simply as possible. If i get asked to go out of the borough and i dont want to i dont go,if i stay in the borough i use the meter. Are you following me so far ? Plus your favourite point if i get asked to go out of the borough and i want to charge a quoted rate i do.Now get back to your shandy and enjoy your christmas !

I wondered if yours was that L reg fairway

How mant times do i have to repeat myself, yes i can refuse fares out of the borough .Its up to me and i can charge what i want to do it.On the other note whats the difference between the L reg fairway and a R reg to the public if their both maintained to a high standard ? I know a fairway is a better cab than a tx2 for instance, and a lot less to maintain and run.Ive never understood the age limit i.e owner driven fairway, low milage, well maintained or a later vehicle with drivers 24/7 being run into the ground ? So its a L reg do you know this vehicle and its condition ?

the sooner all the older engines are rooted out the better, Euro4 should be the very lowest accepted by any LA, in the interests of the enviroment really, it doesnt matter how well an engine is maintained, older enginges just dont cut it

are there any R reg fairways in blackpool?

Sorry didnt know you were so enviromentily minded, youll be on marches with the students next ! Anyway theres quite a few R reg fairways here whatever the relevance of that is.As for your emissions argument wrong again as i have a emissions kit fitted as quite a lot do being ex london cabs.Probally lower emissions than your dustcart.
