£1.34 here, and oil is still only $90 a barrell, wait until it reaches the 2008 high of $145 a barrell, what will the pump price be then? £1.78 per litre? More?

Protests? No we won't, we'll just moan about it and do now't as usual.

One garage in my town put the price up before the weekend. Not just the duty increase but the VAT as well. The robbing b'stards!

The other robbing b'stards!
Should set the price notionally if Asda can keep the price up to 5p lower that should be the price everywhere, there should be abserlutaly no price difference regardless of how far the fuel has to be transported

But then.....ASDA see the fuel as a loss leader to get people into their shop.

I dont disagree, I'm pointing out ASDA's motives are not necessarily one of selling fuel......more getting people in their store.

Nothing wrong with it, as it has to conform to the fuel regulations, whatever they are, and I still get 500 plus per tank
