The vehicle they use is the equivilent of premises and lots of businesses have to rent properly licensed premises. Lots of businesses have to make application to use premises for certain things and those applications can be refused for various reasons

Making it up againt laddie?

Oh, but wait a minute, you're going to quote chapter and verse from the CGSA 1092 aren't you?

I thought not.

You're dead right I'm not, ya fanny

Now all put your thinking caps.

Consider every female you've ever met.

Ever known any of them speak like this?

Anyone now doubt that Toots is really just a male, probably not even a hetero?

That's why the consequence of females coming to harm from restriction means nothing to this guy.

He puts vested interests before the welfare of vulnerable females.

And no female would ever do that.

Here I don't agree. A taxi is the tool of a driver's trade. Without it he cannot work.
A driver has no need of premises, except as somewhere to get his mail delivered.
BTW how does the post office deliver to your cab, if it is your premises?

I disagree.....having the ability to drive, having the knowledge to navigate the streets, having the ability to deal with situations and the public......those are the tools of the driver.

The vehicle.....thats the tool of the vehicle proprietor.

CC

So just how does a taxi driver work without a taxi?

They rent one. The same as a publican without a pub

Not the same at all. The publican applies for the licence in his own name.
..........And only one licence is required........................
