Two arrested after taxi crash in Carlisle
Two men have been arrested after a stolen BMW crashed into a taxi in Carlisle.
The driver of the taxi was taken to hospital with a broken leg after the collision on Wigton Road in the early hours of this morning.
A police spokesman said before the crash, the BMW vehicle made off without paying from Harraby Green service station.
It was later seen in the city centre by officers, then was found abandoned after colliding with the taxi.
Two Penrith men, a 20-year-old and an 18-year-old, have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and burglary of a car.
They are currently being held in police custody.
