It never ceases to amaze me how the council can find the cash for tarmac to make a speed bump but can't find the cash for tarmac to fill in a pothole :?

round here they're just pouring tar into the cavity, quick roll over with a hand roller and on to the next one. no prep, no pitch and no fecking use. 1st lorry and the plug pops out and the jobs undone. waste of time/money/tar. :x

Same here Grumpy, they don't cut the hole out or seal it when they've added the new tarmac, a few days of rain then frosts will see it open up even deeper.

Same here. Shovel full of tar and a smack down with the shovel.
Most of last year's repairs have come out again, along with a good size crop of new ones.

What we are seeing is the result of years of under investment.

Worst culprits are buses. Just have a look at bus stops and bus lanes and see the craters that are there.
But buses are the council's green pals so you won't hear any criticism about them.

I've had three pothole induced punctures and an an alloy wheel
Which is not truly round any more..... I think the low profile wheels are little more than. tyre chackers ..

youd think by now someone would have come up with a fast pothole fixer, a big drill on a jib, bore a hole out, tar, full/roll, instead we have 4 council vans, a dozen men, traffic lights, hold ups for a week while they fill a few small holes

Was there a dwarf called Dozy? I thought he was in a band with Dave Dee and the rest?
