The way I see it is that Mr Skippy41 posted the original thread and link and me thinks he may just be the ad hoc artist that the fuz are looking for!!

They'll find an excuse to keep it, if they have a grudge.

I'm going through this myself just now, a car (which was insured) seized from outside my house, while I was 30 miles away (ironically, at the DVLA office with my insurance, which I showed to two police officers while I was there), and they still have it (18 months later).

I've been charged with using a vehicle without insurance, despite being 30 miles away with my insurance document produced to police where I was BEFORE the vehicle was towed away.

And my court case still isn't until May.
