the lads wanting his own place, hes viewed a flat

hes got the wife to ring (hes on nights, so hes in bed) for an application form (its a private let)

£170 please BEFORE theyve even sent the form

so i was thinking, if i buy a flat, tart it up, how many £170 fees can i take before anyone tumbles to it?....

WTF £170 for nothing??? I'd tell him to do one in no uncertain terms.

Most agencies charge an amount to cover credit checks, paperwork etc before you get to see anything

To right it's a scam. Never go through a letting agent.

hard to avoid

a local millionaire owns half of 1 local town, he lives on the IOM, he has a lettings agency of his own in the town, the agency is a Ltd company registered in the IOM, hes the biggest rob dog going, snatches bonds like taking sweets off kiddies, races expensive sports cars for a hobby

hope he crashes

had our other son over for £450 (the lad was only earning £11K a year)

You think this is easy money.
The wife of one of my drivers decided that she would like to become a driving instructor after seeing the ads on the telly. I advised her to check out if there was a need for another instructor in our area and told he not to do it. We already have on chap in the town who has stopped doing it to become a taxi driver. Next thing I here is that she has applied to the RED agency. This was at the same time as the watchdog programme about RED. I again told her not to do it.
Today I am told that she has lost her £3500 because they have not got a car for her.
I don't understand how it has all gone wrong for her but I am biting my tongue to stop saying "I told you so".
