Ok guys, I have eliminated the noise from my front ARB by doing nothing except slacken off the bolts holding the ARB to the subframe and moving the bracket inwards as much as possible on each side. The clonking was obviously from sideways movement of the bar and not from up and down movement as I thought, I always thought it strange as I couldn't find any play in the bushes, even when levering with a pry bar. So worth a go before you go forking out £140 for a new bar.

Seems an awful expensive anti roll bar that lol. Just hope yer rear wheel steering doesn't go phut.
Well, I've had my E7 for over a year now (it was 1 year old when I bought it, ex Edinburgh motor, always wondered why???) and only thing that's been replaced is wait for it nuthin'. Cab is single shifted by me No I don't have anything to do with Cab Direct but I do look after my cab and don't hare about with my foot to the boards all the time like I see some doing. It's been serviced 3 times, another one due shortly, clutch is still perfect, electronic steps have been serviced by me in my own garage at the 12,000 service intervals and have been trouble free. I'm not saying by any means that they are perfect but I am convinced a lot to do with it is the way peeps drive them.
Now I am prepared to be shot down in flames but I can only speak from my own experience. 8)

That's interesting as I've seen fitters trying desperately to get movement from E7/TW2000 bushes that have been banging, yet no movement, yet banging carries on.

Bad design though.

Yep bad design in that the bushes can't be replaced on their own but hopefully I'll have that bit solved soon. Just waiting on an old arb to practice on. Will keep you posted guys.
BTW as far as I know the Expert/E7 is the only Pug that has this type of bar. All other Pugs have replaceable arb bushes.
