Yes, it's completely out of order and even Garry should have the right to question his accuser.

If there were cameras in the cab this whole episode would have been sorted......it could happen to any of us.

Personally, I don't think Garry would have been daft enough, especially given his views on the council......to have been put in this type of situation.

What pi$$es me off is that both Garry & madJim have between them in the past couple of months raised some decent issues.......yet they revert to type.

would like to see the reasons for refusal, especially given the nationwide problem of drivers being attacked.

And especially given the amount of CCTV employed by local authorities.

Nothing in edinburgh seems to be public knowledge

No trade notices or mags to inform drivers any information that comes out, channels thru the chinese whisper system and is distorted by the time it reaches the ranks

We dont even know the situation regarding holyrood park

you can drive thru, you cant drive thru, need your light off, ect. ect. its a joke

Even telephoning offical channels you get different answears.

This is why skulls issue wae the council needs to be challenged it might even lead to cameras in the cabs,

I doubt aanyone in the past has had the balls to challenge for fear of losing their job

such is the fear of the R,C.

I tend to disagree.

Garry has had an opportunity to resolve this with the cab inspector.

He has the chance to resolve it with the licensing committee.

He then has the chance in one court.

If he still loses he can take it further.

I don't agree.

The camera issue is in my view separate and one that needs taken with taxi trade support.

Reading his posts on here he said he told the cab inspector

the allegation was untrue , then he was threatened with the r.c.

now if he says the same to them, then wot?

Courts cost a hell o a lot o money

He refused to discuss it on the phone to cab office staff,
Then,
He refused to go in and discuss it with the cab inspector himself
Now,
He says he will refuse to discuss it with the licencing comittee.

The last time I had a complaint made against me, I was asked to phone the cab office to discuss it,
I chose to go in person to the office, after giving my side of the story I was told "that's fine" and I heard nothing more of the matter.

There are ways of dealing with things in a friendly manner.

But with garys paranoia he likes to make a meal of what was probably nothing much in the first place, he chooses to antagonise as many people as he can.
