I met Steve back a couple of years ago when he was down this neck of the woods.

So, I telephoned him this afternoon and spoke to him.

I did not want to be seen to being nosey but briefly spoke to him saying that he had been missed by many on here.

At the moment he is in Intensive care but hopes to be back in around 4/6 weeks. I did not ask what was wrong as I felt that it might be too invasive of privacy, but wished him well from all of us.

Thank you all for your wishes, particularly John who took the trouble to phone me.

Briefly, having spent 2 weeks in pain in February, I was rushed in on the 28th for an operation on a perforated bowel. Apparently they caught me with about 24 hours to spare!!!

I have just come home this weekend but don't expect to be back at work fully before Sept/Oct, even then subject to severe lifting restrictions.

Now I'm out, I expect to have a lot more time available to bother you lot. Sorry!!

Thanks again to everybody for all their kind thoughts.

Steve.

You mean that instead of having a pain in the ar5e, you are going to be a pain in the ar5e.
