Our local 24 hour Shell Garage lets taxi drivers use the toilets.

Is that a toilet for public use, or their staff toilets? Anyway, so they should, especially if they use it to fill up!

Interesting how local authorities may require PH operators to provide loos for their drivers. The companies I work for don't even have offices (i.e. the kind where the general public can just walk in and book) - one is operated from a private house, another is a rented office space/room in a big block of other rented office spaces/rooms, and another takes up almost the second floor of an office block in a most inconvenient place just outside the centre of London, where you can't park - hence in the past 9 months I've worked for them, I've only ever visited them once!

Besides I hardly ever need to go into the office(s), any reason why I should? Any documents which need updating - licences, insurance, MOT, I fax/e-mail to the company.

I was going to ask 'what lion' but I've spotted it now

I've just learnt from next week us drivers won't be allowed in the office at all so I'm going to practice my money throwing skills so they can have their settle

Well it's news to me, too... but it doesn't surprise me. I doubt they have to provide a drivers' toilet by law TBH, but morally they should, surely!

I don't get this one at all... I mean, what is the idea??? Oh, and - incidentally - I got not one 'settle reminder' over the data head today, but 4! And they weren't personal ones, they were for everyone. This was all before 11am. PANIC!!!

I'm past caring I'm F9'd every week cos I don't pay them til I go in on Friday night, hence the money lobbing in future. I'm just glad I don't still live 55 miles away cos it'd be a heck of a hike for the loo

It is obvious why they don't want drivers in the office. If they are in the office they are not on the street working. If they are in the office they are probably stood around talking to each other drinking tea or coffee which makes them use the loo.
If they are in the office stood around talking and drinking tea and coffee, they are probably interupting the office staff.
Need i say more?

^ Indeed.

When I was working for a minicab firm with a walk-in office, after a few months working there, the boss got fed up with people hanging around the office, especially with complaints from neighbours (and the police!) with double parking in the street, that he said that anyone who is in or near (easy to find out with GPS tracking) the office won't get a job.

If I'm in the office it's cos I don't want a job I want a cup of coffee or the loo. Imo I think these companys should have to provide rest facilities and toilets for their drivers

I bet it's because the drivers leave the toilets in a right state!
At the firm where I used to control, I kept the toilets clean and provided a clean towel every couple of days, picked the towel up 1 day to wash it and someone had wiped thier arse on it!!
The guvnor banned drivers from useing the toilet the next day................

We had to ask for the key so if that was the case they would know which driver it was, I'm all for banning dirty gits from the loos.
