i DO know some LA's require PH to be MOTd even if new

Would like to know which ones.....I know a taxi test is different.....but away from checking the meter what a waste of time.

CC

Brum has an MOT and supplementary Hackney Test on ALL BRAND NEW CABS!!

I know, I had mine tested on the day I took delivery last year on 30th April 2010.

We have to get the cabs tested even when new, one owner had his delivered to the test station on an 9 car transporter, from the taxi centre, still in its protective wrap, it had all its checks done before being loaded but the owner asked for the protection to be left on just in case
We get a MOT certificate and a certificate of compliance

just reading about the "Bristol Blue" thread, seems for hacks 1st plate the vehicle must be under 150 miles inc delivery!

The certificate of compliance is accepted as an MOT by the post office when you go and tax your vehicle
