That's quite a large assumption, but it accords with the stupid ramblings of most taxi ranks.

However even if your assumption is right, are you saying he deserved to get attacked by the knife and kidnapped?

I am certainly not, but it goes to show the risks PH are prepared to take for a couple of quid. Are things that desperate? :? If they stick to doing their radio work only, then at least if anything happens then there's a phone number that can be traced....hopefully

Quite Sussex, wonder if the comments would be the same if it had happened to a Hack who had legitimately picked up off the rank or off the path? I think not!

If you're talking about what I think you are, the cops didn't press charges against the assailant.

As in my experience the cops are quick to prosecute the lower orders, but ain't gonna press charges against posh folks.

This assailant marked the driver, the cops saw the marks, yet there was "no evidence" to prosecute.

And it took a fortnight for the cops to come up with this. It must take that long for our plods to work up the connection needed to drop the prosecution.

But the upshot is that our cops treat cabbies like the shecht on their shoes.

Yet they expect us to help them when it suits them?

Isn't it long overdue for companies to stop broadcasting their pleas for help on radio systems?

Very public spirited,

most of these messages are about missing persons (The elderly, children and the vulnerable).

You really are a vile person, jimmy boy.

Sorry, Frank, but there's a lot of drivers who just ignore police messages nowadays.
When the police start responding to our calls, then we might respond to theirs. At the moment we're just easy marks they use to reach their monthly targets.

They changed the ground rules and lost a lot of respect in the process, so it's up to them to initiate any changes. Emotional blackmail won't work.

You really need to think this through.
If you think ignoring those messages is having a pop at the police, It's not.

All you are doing is extending the worry of a member of the public, who is perhaps sat at home wondering what has happened to their child or granny.

And becuase you don't know the details, it could be a matter of life and death.

If you really want to have a pop at the police then speak to an officer, pinch his hat, or make a complaint.

Intrigued to know, especially if it can affect our licence
