By all account they had 50 punters filling up at that price. Say £70 a time means £3,500.

Yet they have gained tens of thousands of pounds of free publicity.

The presenters on 5 Live smell a rat.

could i ask if you keep ACCURATE records and MPG figures over many tankfulls filling at the same pump and only going brim-brim (not just chucking £20 in at a time)?

ive done this in both a tourneo and a mondeo with almost identical 125ps Tdci engines on a most boring but regular 850 mile school week run done for 2 years now so im sure my figures bear scrutiny, what isnt proveable (just my personal observations) is the increase in diesel knock when using supermarket fuels (these are now DEARER than branded diesels by the way), my modeo droped to 44mpg using Tesco diesel whilst last weeks showed 48mpg with a 47mpg average since january 7th.

speak as you find i say
