tell you what

we (the collective TDO membership) wont comment on anything IT if you dont comment on taxi-type things, seems fair

if you have a problem with Arrow take it to Arrow or the airport management or the relevent licensing authority

I think you've rubbed them up the wrong way. It's one thing to come on here as a sucessful taxi company, that doesn't exploit it's drivers just to line their own pockets, it's another to come on here and sing the praises of a private hire company that has every intention of exploiting drivers to line their own pockets. As a punter, who has always had the choice to have a private hire vehicle meet you at the airport, what exactly do you know about the trade? Whilst I think it's important to be smart whilst working how does what a driver wears, so long as they are clean, affect your journey? I find it difficult to believe that a taxi driver from Manchester didn't know where to go when just travelling to the city centre they have no trouble getting here and I'm a good 40 miles away. I will end my comments with a little advice for you, if you are not happy with any journey you undertake in a licensed vehicle please take a note of the drivers badge number or taxi plate number and report it to the relevant licensing department :D

you still havent got the message have you this is about ability and general dress code, im not bothered about paying more for a good service but i aint paying anything for an overpriced camel jockey that cant even take me the right way and cant speak english.

If you wasn't such a divvy, you would know that you could take any cab off the rank you wanted, you could then find a nice English speaking driver to take you, so next time you go there use your loaf
its called customers prerogative

or as a "regular" traveller thru manchester airport he could keep to the company he prefers and pre-book it

here, try 118me, ask for a white driver who has english as a first language

I certainly will, il be observing what is going on at the airport over the next few weeks with interest, i certainly hope that the changes that are likely to take place will be for the better, i look forward to more choice and a better service allround which ever mode of transport i choose to use, last time i used the train and i would certainly go by train again particularly during rush hour as its alot quicker and cheaper.

cwright....you have always had a choice.....I am sure no hackney driver has dragged you into his cab.....no one ever stopped you (or anyone else
) from phoning a private hire company to pick you up.....or as you say you have chosen ...use the train....and for your information there is also a bus service from manchester airport into the city if you wish to use.....additionally there are numerous car parks in every terminal...which you can use...and there is parking space for bikes as well....motor bikes...push bikes......hey...you have a choice....
but in reality you are an associate of arrow cars.....like i said previously....your time at manchester is very limited indeed.....
watch this space.....i dont like champagne...but will open a bottle when they leave ....which they surely will.

That's what I tell people to do if there's a driver at the front of the rank who they don't like.

If you have read the Arrow Driver's contract, you will realise that only the brain-dead or desperate would work under those conditions.

You're welcome to their third-world taski drivers!!

I would place a bet with anyone that the black cab trade will still be there long after Arrow aren't.
