Dear dear me, I thought that I had heard all the excuses that people use to get time off  a bit extreme to say the least, but at least you picked some good weather to do it.

Joking aside, glad to here that you are on the mend and I bet that your pub landlord will be glad to hear the same.............not that I am saying that you drink much, it is just that he will have missed your beer barrel diving performances :)

Thank you all for your wishes, particularly John who took the trouble to phone me.

Briefly, having spent 2 weeks in pain in February, I was rushed in on the 28th for an operation on a perforated bowel. Apparently they caught me with about 24 hours to spare!!!

I have just come home this weekend but don't expect to be back at work fully before Sept/Oct, even then subject to severe lifting restrictions.

Now I'm out, I expect to have a lot more time available to bother you lot. Sorry!!

Thanks again to everybody for all their kind thoughts.

Steve.

Welcome back Steve glad your on the way to recovery.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery cabbyman.

Had my own scare 5 years ago with emergency surgery so know a little of the road you face ahead.

All the best

Steve

Well, I saw a yellow Vito, tripped over a drain tube, split the wound open and spent another 3 weeks inside.

All very depressing!!!

Right now listen up!

We have had enough of feeding you free meals, free heating, free lighting and no doubt watching stacks of T.V all from the money we (the workers) are paying in tax  ..............stop mucking around and get back to choking the roads up like the rest of us.

Be positive...................like "I am positive that I will be back soooooon" :)
