Good idea Gusmac. There is however a significant bias against the Manchester airport hackneys, much of it their fault perhaps. To advertise anything on the sides of a Hackney cab needs written permission from the Cities licensing unit. I doubt permission would be forth coming.

Put it on a billboard right outside the airport, and then get the press to report on it.

Sussex, the fares have been slashed at the Airport, its now meter fare anywhere. I know, it should have been that anyway, but a wake up call often works.

On a brighter note, the unions in Manchester and at the Airport have historically been useless. You know why, its always been "dont rock the boat, we dont want to lose plate values". To that end they have let the council take the [edited by admin]. However a brighter star has arisen, a bit like Alan Ladd in "SHANE"........ Seriously the GMB have a rep called Sean Kenny, a second generation cab driver (followed his Dad). I have seen some of the stuff he has written and he is on the ball. He has the press angle covered as you have suggested, and I have sent him a lot of JD's material I still had. I am confident this guy will get some sort of result.

The cracks are already appearing in the failure of Arrow cars.....its only a matter of time before they pack their bags and leave. No news from CWRIGHT is there ?....maybe the reality has dawned on him.....not the piece of cake they thought it would be....
Sorry guys cannot expand on this as it would just give them information they dont already have.....this morning they stood looking in whilst the hackneys took ALL the work !...even had one of their drivers stood next to hackneys looking in to see if could tout or draw attention to the ph...but no luck !!

Arrow cars have been at Manchester a month now. They have made a video about it.

I know this is never going to happen but..........

Why does the hackney and ph sides of the trade "hate" each other so much, outside of the all countries big city centre area's there is very little difference in what the vehicle actually does and virtually no difference to the "type" of client. All that happens is we have us fighting ourselves whilst the fat cats at airports, stations etc (and don't forget the shopping centre management will be keeping an eye on this, how long before we need a permit to poick up from Tesco/Asda) just jack up the price to whoever is willing to pay and we fall for it everytime.
We have to look at ways of getting the customer before they arrive, modern technology can help with this. Some lateral thinking needed guys!!!!

Not sure both sides hate each other, just that large elements of the taxi trade hate the PH side.

The PH side generally don't give a stuff, and concentrate their energies on servicing their customer base.

Breaking news....Breaking news.......Arrow cars have resorted to ''paying'' wages to their drivers !!....why ?...because the drivers were not earning enough money to make it worth their while to stay with the company. Already many drivers have left !!...''Other'' staff are looking for new jobs....
Only a matter of time now.....still no sign of CWWRIGHT....?
Never mind eh.....another one bites the dust....
Oh, another tactic used by the hackneys....we are now wearing yellow jackets with ''TAXI DRIVER'' on the back...and standing outside...seems to work and has rattled them no end....even had Licensing out to look at it..after Arrow complained about it...lol....

I get the impression that in some areas, because the standards required to become a ph driver are not as high as they are to become a HC driver, the HCs feel they are superior thus more entitled to have work. The PH need to up their game but they won't because most drivers are controlled by operators who don't want things to become difficult for them to get drivers, also unqualified people need to work and it's by far one of the easiest trades to get into
