i got my dmf done under warranty it was ok to start with but a few thousand miles done im starting to get a judder but not as bad as before it was done and im getting the rattle sometimes on start up which i got before is this normal with dmf or should i go back to garage

its easy to confuse a DMF with abit of injector rattle, the latter is a regular tapping which is most apparent on tickover and/or light load, but goes away with raised tickover, the DMF sounds like all your spanners in a metal dustbin rolling down the road

on mine i can get rid of the injector noise by chucking a bottle of Forte diesel treatment in the fuel tank ( i mean the fluid, not the actual bottle) :oops:
