Does anyone have a copy of the judgement in the case 'The Queen v British Airways Ex Parte George Edwards', which I believe is commonly known as the Gatwick Airport case?
Doesn't ring a bell. What where the issues?
The case was in the Court of Appeal and the judgement was dated Friday 6th May 1983.
The issue was standing and plying for hire and PH standing in view of the public. I am led to believe that it is a case that defines PH standing in view of the public, which may have been deemed to be plying, but until I read the judgement I won't know the full details.
Unusually there were four judges, or so I am being told. They were Justices Waller, Fox, May and Woolf, with apologies to any of them who may have been Lord Justices at the time.
I can get part of the judgement, which I will probably have tomorrow, but I have been told that there are pages missing and it is a very poor copy.
And that's all I know about it.
I suppose if I get the first page tomorrow with the case number that might help a lot, but I haven't a clue where to find the judgement on the Internet, even with that information.
