Location: Wyre Borough - near Blackpool
Howdy.

Just found this lovely place!

Brand new freshmeat driver. Just got my first HC badge for Wyre Borough (near Blackpool) and am out tomorrow night (fingers crossed) with a drive in a 52 plate tx2 n

Is a 50/50 split the norm for drivers? Seems fair to me!

What else do I need to know?

What should I not leave home without?

What sort of cash/change do I need to take out)

enough to change 2 twenties, silver £1.00 coins fivers and a tenner
never keep all your money together, drop some off at the office or home if family there if you think you have to much
Thanks for any advice!
Do a full vehicle check before you start, lights, tyres, oil, and water.
And get them to show you how the meter works and how to get the total and clear it at the end of a shift

If you are happy with that, then that's all that matters.

See what the others are paying and if need be change motors.

Not made it out yet.. still waiting for an appointment to go see the office and go through their 'company training'

hopefully that will be over the weekend and I can get out on the road and start earning!!

I am. But the HC I'll be driving is linked to an office as well so I have to wait to go through their 'training' before I can drive on of their branded cabs.

Toots, ive been HC plated/badged and on a "hacks only" circuit where the base was next to the only rank, its not only PH that are tied to a base

Toots dont tease the guy, he has enough problems with his training of how to drive the TX, :wink: like how to start and stop one, how to teach the passengers how to throw the anchor out in an emergency, how to use the fire extinguisher when it goes on fire, how he must go back the same way as he went to collect any parts that fell off on his way :shock:
