Ali, explain how someone who buys in or sells up but still believes restriction is a good thing for the Trade is being hypocritical ?.
People who get sommit for nowt', sell it,and then want derestriction, they're hypocrites. Or people who are on record as being supportive of restriction,
then change their tune cos' they fall out wae company's, they're hypocrites.
If I ever did decide to sell up, I'd still want restriction, simply because the alternative wouldn't be good for anyone, owners or drivers.
its clear to me that if a supporter of a restricted trade sells up.
its because its crap clearly the system of restriction that you support doesn't work hence time to get out.
maybe hypocritical isn't the right word perhaps
blinkered sums it up best or
worried
if the trade derestricts tomorrow it wouldn't bother me a jot.well past caring. i doubt it would make any difference to takings, in fact its probably the best time to do it even if only for a short period.
my reasons for doing what i do are well documented on here.
besides the law governing taxi's says you cant buy/sell licenses.
and the council had/has a closed waiting list.
and people that buy in are in fact jumping the queue in so far as many long term taxi drivers are denied the right to operate their own taxi unless they want to get into serious debt for the right to pretend you own a plate
buying a plate(incorporation) is nothing more than giving someone a bung to get past a Queue, its the council rubber stamping black marketeering and you think its ok
btw ive always wanted de restriction ever since the council told me that although i would have the required points to go to the top of the list, that the list was closed therefore it was irrelevant whether i met their criteria.
the system has never been fair and probably never will be.
