Hi new to this forum thought I would post this no10 e-petition to try and stop airports unfairly ripping us off by charging/taxing us to drop passengers at the airport and the high price of short stay car parking.
it cost nothing to sign It may not do anything but its worth try.
thanks for reading and please share with all your friends.

Sorry, but I won't be signing this petition as I believe the charges and the very short stay car parks serve some very useful purposes.

I thought that these e-petitions were for influenceing government policy. The government have no duristiction on what a private company charges for using their car parks.

The banks were/are private companies?
All this is about is to get the subject noticed.
After the Glasgow attack in 2007 the government and airports closed the terminal roads and made drop of areas which is fine but to charge for the pleasure with no free alternative seems like a bit of a monopoly.
Mancherster airport is trying to bring in fines for anyone not using there high priced car parks.car park charges keep going up and we have to absorb them along with fuel and licensing etc my fear is if this is not brought to someones attention where will it end paying to drop off at the train station football grounds paying to drop of in a town centre area if people smell easy money It could happen.
Also a pound for 10 mins or £29.99 for seven days so it can't be an environmental deterrent it's an unfair charge to use the airport.

The 2 airports that I go to regulaly both have free alternatives. That is Birmingham and East Midlands. As Brummie says, there are some benefits. For instance before the charges were made the car parks in front of the terminals were so full that sometimes it was impossible to park at all. There is always space now.

Again you don't have to give a reason for not signing just don't sign
I'm not looking for a debate on here I posted it for people who WANT to sign it everyone has an opinion and if your happy with it then fine or you could just pick bits out to back your opinion.
I'm not saying don't charge parking it's the blatant way it's done plus if it was cheaper to park at the airport they would probably get more revenue instead of every back street and lay-by full of cars waiting for a phone call
