how is the taxi trade doing around england
Here where I work its very dead atm I'm doing 10-12hrs shifts only to clear a total 40quid I don't no wether to sell up or just put it in my head that it will get busy even like last year for the whole year was only making 50 60quid a day so just seeing if its the same every where or just here I work in a restricted zone and here few years ago I used to love it the earnings where good only was doing a few hours but since 06-07 time has changed and the trade has gone slow sometimes you can bearly make 20, I Really don't know what to do as I can't make ends meet working here.

Where is here would be a help?

Just a city or area might help.

If trade is a bad in your manor as you say then I suggest you get out.

To where who knows, but it's not worth wasting your life in a cab earning f*** all.

You would be better off on the dole and doing non driving voluntary work.

Its the same around here mate.......I started last Thursday at 11am......didnt earn a bean till 1pm.

Next morning started at 7.15am....first job was 8.30am.

We'd be better off stacking shelves in Tesco.

Yhhh I know cabtain cab I get about a job a hour or so and another reason I always think about is deregulations
Because of the holidays its abit quiet but even normal times its not that busy as there's alott of ph here, sometimes I think to sell up an sometimes I don't want to as I've had my hack since 1990 and its made me a fortune over the years but I haven't made that much in thies few years
Cabs an plates are selling fast here I can get good money but I still don't know if its worth it as say if I sell up and the next day the trade booms up so still thinking.

I have no idea why people are doing so maybe they just see the trade different to me
It got me thinking a month back when I heard a cab and plate was sold for 80k so I asked around and there's a few offerers going but I think if I sell what am I going to do next as here there are so many shops, takeaways, resturants so no point going into them as too many around and won't be worth it
So really I have no clue in what to do I just got my cab back last week as I installed a new engine in it now its much quieter but still not enough work.

I guess it all depends on how much of the 80k you get to keep, how old & fit you are, what experience and other qualifications you have, how ambitious you are and whether you want to buy into a ready made business or start from scratch

80K buy's choices, whether you make the right choice or not remain to be seen. Without 80K, you have, very little in the way of choices, but you can continue as normal. Look at it this way, expand faster than your losses and make more money or cut your costs and try to survive on what you are currently earning.

However, if you can't survive, JUMP or be PUSHED. :-|

Avon, Bettaware, Kleeneeze or you could try the one and only Kirby hoover route, £2000 for a hoover??

Halifax was at one time one of the most expensive plates in the country.

How much are they selling for these days?
