The fat lady hasn't sung.

My information is that the Council have still underestimated the campaign.

We can now renew with a vengeance.

The only solution is to de-restrict.

And that's where we go now.

And I intend it to be as bloody as it possibly can be.

Another rape would just about do it I think.

The council should be very nervous, because if another female is harmed, this time I'll be all over it like a rash.

And with two known previous rapes, they have no excuse.

Watch this space.

Three things make me wonder.

First why was all of this latest wheeze done on the B agenda? What gives the council the right to conduct what should be public business in secret. What does that tell us about government? What are they hiding?

The FOI request goes in now. And this time I will be following it all the way to Parliament if I have to. Because this is not what government should be doing. This council has to be reined in.

Second, what does Donald macleod think he's doing? We all know the reports he authored in Aberdeen. What makes Edinburgh any different?

Third, a number of sources tell me that the council thinks it's put all of this mess to bed. Well it apparently hasn't agreed to licences for all the sisted cases, and to my knowledge it hasn't agreed to licences for my two previously sisted cases, which are still live in law and being ignored by this council.

The council could have taken this opportunity to clear the boards. They've failed to do so.

Gloves off. The war resumes.

Because I know that when you restrict taxi numbers there is every chance it can happen. And I don't want it to. I abhor that females could be hurt just because vested interests force them to walk the streets or take a risky option.

I abhor that council's think that what they do is OK.

I abhor the fact that the two rapes, that we know of, were explicitly warned could happen in the Scottish Governments own Best Practice guide, and it came about.

I abhor that Edinburgh's council has ignored the warnings.

Now Toots. Tell me that you disagree with what I've just said.

If the Council de-restrict can any potential rapist not just go and get a licence and hey presto easy pickings. No need to lure them into an unlicensed cab. If the female was so drunk would she be able to notice a plate number.
Sorry Jasbar but I think your argument may be a little flawed as per restriction and rape.

I think you're confusing derestricting rapists with derestricting vehicles

The only policy that is compatible with Human Rights is quality control of our trade.

That, and that alone is what councils should be doing.

Oh really Jim?

5/6 years since I started driving taxis you've been on your crusade and your amount if success equals the same as the preverbal hole in the doughnut

about to get bloody? Heard that before. You may be fighting YOUR noble cause but even now and again the noble understand there on a losing battle. Germany tried to battle Russia in world war 2 and where did they get with that?

You keep pushing your lines forward son, you'll blow yourself out eventually

To put your statement in context, is Aberdeen recapped yet?

Why is it sad to just want what is rightfully yours?

What the vast majority of others in the trade throughout the UK already enjoy.

Why am I sad because I just happen to live under a council of fascists?

Am I sad because I oppose such fascism?

Is that what you're saying stationtone? I should just accept fascism and being treated worse than others?

That right?

I have less rights than others and I should just accept it?

A deemed grant means that when the council deem there is un-met demand they will consider the 27 but not in an unfair way as before, if there is a recommendation to grant say another 30 licences my understanding is that the 27 will be considered fairly with any new apps that are applied for  What's good for the goose you know

btw Not for a while though as there is no un-met demand
