The signs on Mottingham's Bus lanes are clear enough to me.

And they DO NOT say NO PHV's, do they?

I don't know, but they likely say 'buses and taxis only', and in law a taxi means hackney carriage.

They say Buses and WAV only.....

The signs say buses and wheelchair accessable taxis, which does not include my wheelchair accessable private hire.

My hackney skoda is wheelchair accessible it goes in the boot :D

Go on Skippy, come down to Nottingham and give it a go.

They say that, but what they mean is bus or hack (no matter what sort it is).You might be able to dispute a fine if you have a disabled badge and you were driving your own car, but I wouldn't like to give it a go.
Oh yeah, bikes are allowed as well but who honestly cares, they go where ever they feel like anyway, I mean, you would have to be insane to try and ticket a mountain bike for riding in a bus lane.

But then again..... :?

I was done whilst driving one of my hacks. The Hackney badge is clearly visible as is the top sign. I got the ticket because the sign says wheelchair accessable taxi and mine was not wheelchair accessable.

Please show me the legislation that states this so that I can appeal my fine.
Does the legislation cover bylaws?

The main reason they won't allow PH into bus lanes is because Joe public will see PH cars going down there and think they can go down there.

Just out of interest do the Nottingham, bylaws allow hackneys from out of town to use the lanes or are they going to be penalised too

ref "bus lanes"...

talking to a guy last week, he used to be a bathroom tiler, and had several weeks work in central london

he has a scudo MPV which was registered as a "minibus" on the V5 (dont ask, i dont know)

anyway he used the bus lanes every day for a few weeks whilst staying near london and travelling in and out daily

gets back home to cornwall to a pile (£thousands) of fines for using the lanes

anyway, TCALSS he ended up in court, told the judge his vehicle is registered as a minibus and the judge threw all the (many) cases he had against him out

What vehicle. Was it the bus lanes or the bus gates?

Bus Lanes, I use the one near the Goose fair site everytime I go into Nottingham.

My problem was at the junction at the top of the road from Collin street where you turn right off of the tram tracks. That turning is for buses and wheelchair accessable taxis only as I found out. It is covered by a camera or two.
