ignoring football, why cant a top with an Flag of St George (Englands patron saint) be acceptable?

Im English, ive traced my family back to 1650, all born withing 40 miles of here, my dad, his dad and his dad all served in HM forces and im now told flying OUR flag, or wearing a shirt with the red cross on a white background is distasteful - to who?

This where we have got it wrong, we should welcome all but not at the cost of our traditions and way of life

Well they could if they wanted but i didnt quite mean that, as i suspect you knew...

In Crewe its more likely it will be the Polish or Bulgarian flags on THIER "national days"

Image is not a good idea... to put a name to a face.... especially when within the trade you're known as a fruit picker.

I don't wear a suit, I don't even wear a shirt and tie, but I do wear a clean ironed polo shirt, plain t-shirt with clean ironed jeans / cotton trousers and shoes.

I also have a shower, shave and the other one before I start work.

I feel quite comfortable walking into any of Londons top hotels, and never get challenged by door staff if I want to use their loo.

It doesn't take much, or much money for that matter, to look presentable whilst driving a Taxi.

I don't do designer either, Tesco or Matalan have a more than adequate range for my clothing needs at work.
