I applied for my PH badge including CRB on 18/11/2010. CRB came back in 3 weeks. I did my DSA Test at the Forest Hills Drive centre in Southampton. I passed, just. I'm not sure the examiner saw the BMW I pulled out in front of when getting onto the M27. There is also a very nasty single file dog leg in a park they torture you with.

Then a mad dash afterwards to the council office to do my knowledge test. This was all on 16th December. Somehow managed to pass that too! Got my badge on the 17th then did my first shift on the Sunday.

The nice lady at the council said she was of the opinion mine was the fastest application to badge issue she could remember since CRB etc introduced.

The good luck fairy clearly does exist, or just took pity on me that day.

Well - took the test again on Wednesday and passed

Just got a meeting with the council next week and I will have my badge and application for the OPERATOR LICENCE.

Then buy the car and plate and get going

my driving licence is 39 years old next year, cars, big vans, 7.5tonners and almost a haulage CPC, they can stick a [edited by admin] pointless extra driving test where the sun dont shine for me

if i were to fail this bogus made-up test would i lose my dvla or ph licence?......course not

so whats the point?

Agreed - it's a pointless hoop to jump through.

But I have my badge now, just the car and the plate and I am go...
