Picked a disabled punter up from ASDA earlier today, she phones up from the inside so you have to go in and fetch her, she pays well over the odds and is a good customer.

Today I went in to fetch her and her shopping, came back to the car to find the parking attendant putting a ticket on my motor, I was f**in livid with him so I grabbed the ticket off the windscreen and shoved it down his jacket and told him to f***in do one.

Whilst I admit I was parked on double yellow lines in the car park (like all the drivers do when they pick up there) for him to slap a ticket on me whilst picking up a disabled punter was the lowest of the low.

I know writing off to the company won't achieve anything because they are after the money, is there another avenue to go down?

Yeah: When you stop, stick your Ramp down, She may not need it, but the Attendant is unlikely to know that!

1. I haven't got a WAV
2. The Attendant is thicker than pudding.

You get 3 hours free parking at all asdas, well you do in my manor.
Go into the store and speak to the manager and get him or her to deal with it

ASDA don't like Taxis round our way Skip, I'm trying to swerve speaking to them also it's run by a private company so ASDA won't admit it's anything to do with them.

+1, they have no legal right to enforce it, just collect them and display them, on your windscreen

Just ignor the ticket and any other communication from them. Do not reply under any circumstances.

Ok it sounds like these companies have got a bit of a fan club, reading through the peppipoo forums the norm is to ignore them and don't pay a penny. That's what I'm going to do. 8)

My daughter was a naughty girl and left her car in a services car park after meeting a friend and going for a meal! She then gets a letter demanding a hefty fee/fine that can be reduced by half if you pay within 14 days, the letter goes on to say that she has been caught on cam and this will be used against her.

So then I get from her a married woman, dad dad I have got to pay all this money!! and the answer was, no, not under any circumstances. We ignored all post (what proof have they got that it arrived, as proof of posting is not necessarily proof of arrival) and we never heard another thing.

Question, does the yellow lines in the supermarket car park have the same validity as yellows out in the street??

If the carpark belongs to the supermarket, they mean nothing.

No.

But if they have a sign saying you mustn't park on the line then they can issue you with a charge.

However there is no law that I know of that says you must pay it.
