So Dougie, if you and your inbred chum Fairplay, ever get the chance to sell your jobs to some sap. You'll be banging the drum up at the White House bar or Castle Tavern, telling everyone how clever you are. However, if the council blows you out, you'll be looking for someone to blame.

You see Dougie. That's the way it is with guys like you.

Not looking to trade  my investment has paid for itself 3xs over, sorry to disappoint you  I did pay but it's now an insignificant amount of money, about what you paid as a driver in around one and a half years

Content to play the game as it is  paid for my plate 10 years ago so whatever happens the insignificant money i paid has been a good investment thank you very much :D :D :D

The guy's i fear for are the guy's who have just bought in but as you said it will be 2-3 years    Then what about your old multi plate holding boss Skull  He is gonna come looking for you not me

He will Skull

Dougie, your latest comment is a perfect example of how delusional you really are. You never paid for a plate. You don't own a plate, and you did not make an investment in a plate. If you paid for anything, it was a job, and if you happen to get lucky, someone equally as ignorant as you might buy the job, releasing you from your chattels.

If you doubt what I say, simply phone up your slave owner and seek clarification. You won't find anyone at Council HQ, confirming you bought, or that you own council property.

Now anyone with a couple of brain cells would understand the above to be true, but not you.

Did you miss the above Dougie?

Let’s agree with you then Skull. Dougie, “buys a job” 10 yrs ago, for £17k. He saves himself, £130k in rental. But you think he’s a fool for calling that a good investment ?. What have you done over the last ten years ?. Apart from paying £9.99 for some “Mavis Beacon” typing software, which allows you to type really fastly wae’ yer’ left hand, leaving your right hand free to work even faster, what have you done ?. You’re the fool pal.

What are you investing in, a taxi plate? Try gambling because that's what it is. How about someone who parts with 40k, and the plug gets pulled? Is that an investment?

Get a grip you clown.

Don't you get it? The council owns you. They won't even admit to plates changing hands for money, no investment just a gamble. Sooner or later the house wins.

Pro rata, earnings are half what they were twenty years ago, how is that an investment, zipper head?

The truth is, your poxy plate value has cost you more than you'll ever know.

Lets keep it simple for you Skull, There won't be de-restriction and you know it  The true cost of investment in plate,Taxi and a radio with CC or Central is near 80k and there is still guy's willing to pay, ask your mate AliT, why is this :?: The sums add up  After 5 years the investor still has an asset worth 40k, he has saved around 35k by not paying a rental over that 5 year period

Skull you said 2-3 years  i think you know its over  You even said things can happen in months  Skull you are all over the place  Your rocking  Calm down man  Accept it  Your wrong  We who trade plates are right :D

Dougie, you are barking. Taxi driving is a low paid industry. You do not make an investment in a taxi plate, and you don't know when de-restriction might happen. It's a gamble Dougie, and the politicians have a loaded dice. You have no control over anything you are talking about. It's a fantasy.

No sane person pays 40K, to put themselves in the hands of politicians, only ignorant stupid taxi drivers. #-o

You are paid what you are worth Dougie, and that's exactly how the politicians themselves see it. Ignorant scumbag cabbies, all fighting over a little perceived status, while working for [edited by admin] pins. #-o

Dougie, it would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. eusasmiles.zip

There's got to be a reason why you are so delusional. Not only did you buy into the plate investment/ownership story, you swallowed the whole enchilada. Everything is rosy in your garden irrespective of how false everything is. You see what you want to see and never let the truth get it the way. Your belief in total bullshi* is actually quite remarkable. I think Fairplay, knows the truth, but you aren't even interested in anything that could contradict your little world.

It must be a defence mechanism of some sort. It makes me wonder what's gone on in your past, there's got to be a story in there somewhere. :?

Here's a thought. Take some council property (taxi licence) and allow it to be incorporated and traded between those desperate to purchase the illusionary status of businessman. However, remain in total control of your property by using the threat of de-restriction as a gun to their heads.

Instant archetypal slave committed to defending an illusion afforded him by those in control.

Dougie, we all have defence mechanisms or rational ways in which to respond to anxiety, but in your case, you are irrational at best and delusional at worst. Your belief in your medallion document tells a story all of its own. The letters to Kenny MacAskill, the Council, CRT, City Cabs and even putting your document on the forum, is the act of someone who is imbalanced.

This isn't the first time you've lived in denial of the truth, is it Dougie? There has to be a relationship at some point in your past, that made you lose the plot. I can't put my finger on it, but I am curious.

Btw,
I don't have a fascination with the trade but believe it or not. I like writing and ripping the pi*s out of the likes of you. In truth, I like the exercise.

It has to be said, you never physically own the plate, you buy the ability to act as a cabby and the goodwill of existing custom, ok it's jumping a queue, but so it's the same when one company buys another, or in football it would be I've bought say Plymouth Argyle so I can be in the football league rather than have to start ground up and hope to win my way into the league, it happens in every field of business, it's only in the taxi trade some seem to have a problem with it, and to be extreme about it, if the taxi trade has to accept an un-regulated environment then that means nobody should ever be turned down when applying to open a bar as well and however many bars they want to open, it's the same principle, and when it's saturated to the point where men are fighting each other over a job and one pulls out a gun and shoots the other because he thought it was his job, whose going to explain to his widow how that situation was ever allowed to become?
