Most of you will have noticed that diesel now costs on average 8P per litre more than petrol when for a long time there was only 4P difference.
Will we see the spiel about more folk wanting heating oil so that why??????????????

Skip, don't be a mug mate, the reason is the same as ciggy tax hikes, it's to pay off some of the LABOUR gained debt, some more to arm up for some more middle east bashing and finally to pay back what the banks lost us.

Before long they will have appeals in schools for kids to donate their pocket money, that's how dim and clooless these educated folks are.

Me, I'm semi self educated, lived 3 recessions, seen every scheming idiot god created and can read folks by just how they are standing, and more important, I can do maths without a calculator and know if everyone stands on one side of a boat it's going to capsize.

Demand for diesel is high and production capacity can barely meet demand whereas petrol is available in plentiful supply relative to demand the difference will reach about 10p this year and 20p within 2 years at which point people will start buying petrol cars and it will decline again

with modern petrol engines the difference in fuel economy is not so great between petrol and diesel AND theres always the LPG option

but when does the duty rebate on LPG end? it was supposed to be 2014 which i suspect is why Vauxhall dont seem to offer duel fuel so much now?

as ive said before, if CAR manufacturers didnt spend billions building ENGINE plants we would have a viable electric car by now - someone doesnt want that, let think who that could be?....

my mondeo does 50mpg

15 years ago my montego and maestro did........50mpg

but they didnt have DMF's, Hdi, CSC, ECU and all the other expensive stuff to get, or control, higher engine outputs which i dont want, id rather have 100mpg, which they will never achieve, or is that cos the OIL companies would rather we didnt get 100mpg? plus of course HMG get 85% of what you hand over for fuel....

Oil + Manufacturers + Government = we dont stand a chance

Skoda now have the Octavia with the factory fit LPG option, but my nearest filling point is 10 miles away the next 35 miles
As I told Grandad a while ago I live in a terrace so cannot get my own supply

You could buy a transfer pump and use the orange propane cylinders.

So when you say that Skoda now have the option, you really mean the taxi shop. So is it a factory fitted option or a conversion carried out by the taxi shop?
When I last spoke to the taxi shop about the Insignia, it was a conversion done by themselves and not factory fitted.

Those will be aftermarket fitted with a Prins etc system.

I had a Cavalier which did 45MPG on a diesel with no turbo, no electric diesel pump a clutch which you could change in 30 minutes.
