Me an enemy  Oh please the ph drivers are not the enemy it's the greedy operators that are the enemy and in the case of Edinburgh those that want to de-restrict the trade, not to mention those that get plates given to them for nothing and instead of working the said plate they sell it to line their pockets ffs  If you were so concerned about the trade you wouldn't behave in the manner that you do, but, then again I don't remember ever reading anything that said you were concerned
given to them
for nothing
are you that stupid
£1500 a pop
and i worked them and sold them
when i was working them i was lining my pockets and when i sold them i was lining my pockets

whats the distinction your trying to make ,as all i can see is money being made one way or another, and isnt that what work is all about

Sorry you are right there is the license fee to pay before it's attached to a vehicle and the and then sold. Why are telling me that you work the plates and then sell them? I didn't mention you in that regard

it wasnt directed at you dafty you just happened to be the playdoh in doogies mind at the mo.

but since you stuck yer oar in.

i know of no female who would be interested in the slightest in what goes on in this forum.
especially since it is not your full time profession, your not a proper cabbie and frankly it ain't that interesting.
so why do you feel the need to fill up every single thread with nothingness.

youve got nothing to say toots, and about the most interesting thing about you appears to be your avatar and the fact that you meet up with cabbies you've met on hear,is there something about this site i dont know about

ive met woman like you before you pretend to be the big independent when i fact your the exact opposite ,thats why you stay above a pub, thats why you skirt round the outside of what is traditionally a mans world.
you may not be aware yourself but its blatantly apparent to most of your utter neediness.

and yes i write a load of tosh as well, but it least it has direction and some degree of passion.i cant figger out why your hear tbh
unless you think its some sort of womans social club

talking of womans socials http://www.thetaxiforum.com/ it may be more to your suiting sir

You're like 3 musketeers ffs. Get a grip we're in 2011 now not 1811  "A mans world"

You mean most taxis in your area work on a mixed-fleet circuit?

Most taxis in the country work on a circuit.

Actually, yes it does.

http://taxi-driver.co.uk/files/1982act.pdf
CGSA 1982
3.— [b]Discharge of functions of licensing authorities.
(1) For the purpose of the discharge of their functions under this Part of this Act, every licensing
authority shall consider, within 3 months of its having been made to them under paragraph 1 of
Schedule 1 to this Act, each application so made and, subject to the following provisions of this
section, reach a final decision on it within 6 months.

(2) On summary application by the licensing authority within the 6 month period referred to in
subsection (1) above, the sheriff may, if it appears to him that there is good reason to do so, extend
that period as he thinks fit.
(3) The applicant shall be entitled to be a party to a summary application under subsection (2)
above.
(4) Where the licensing authority have failed to reach a final decision on the application before
the expiry of—
(a) the 6 month period referred to in subsection (1) above, or
(b) such further period as the sheriff may have specified on application under subsection
(2) above,
the licence applied for shall be deemed to have been granted
or, as the case may be, renewed
unconditionally on the date of such expiry and shall remain in force for one year, but this subsection
is without prejudice to the powers of revocation under section 7(6)(a) of this Act, of variation under
paragraph 10 of Schedule 1 to this Act and of suspension under paragraphs 11 and 12 of that
Schedule and to the provisions of paragraph 8(5) of that Schedule.
(5) The licensing authority shall make out and deliver the licence to the applicant to whom it has
been deemed to have been granted under subsection (4) above.

And just in case you haven't figured this out yet, deemed to be granted means is granted by the ACT OF PARLIAMENT itself, and that's a much higher authority than your council.

Months ago my fellow SNP bumboys told me that the council where going to drag there high heels on issueing more licences, as stated by me previously, deeming a grant doesn't mean the council have to grant, the balls are in the appealers court, go on take us to court, that's the strategy i thought the council where going to take, as i have stated many times

actually doogie that exactly what a deemed grant means. #-o
but there is no deeemd grant in this case #-o
mr donalds plate was granted by the court

But hey i started to think Jasbar, AliT, Skull and Jinky had bigger bumboy's than me in the council, they kept telling us on the forum that licences will be granted, they will grant and much more pash from them followed concerning the granting of licences  I started to believe brothers, i started to believe

i don't know anyone in the council doogie
the information that somehow alludes you is in the public domain, you can even go to court and watch it happen
why dont you just ask the council rather than rely on the rumor mill

Then out of the blue AliT tells us that the council are dragging their high heels, hey maybe we share the same bumboy at the council, he's done us AliT, he's done us   Thank god i knocked back his advances, did you AliT  Naw you swallowed it didn't you, you sold for 3 plates previous so might just have sold your bum on this one  you swallowed the schect that was coming out of the dreamers, admit it   Go on admit it

Then a piece of info lands on me today that Mr Donald hasn't got his plates yet, i maybe wrong but i heard he put a cab through its test, which passed, he asked for his plates and was told your not getting them, any clearer picture of the whole truth and nothing but the truth on this one    We do know how you 4 like to presume a situation so only the truth will do, or is the way i said it, is what happened

So what is the clear picture on the issueing of licences, is it or isn't it going to happen and when

as i thought the only info you can get hold of what filters down from someone who happened to be sitting in the cab office when mr donald was getting his cab tested.thats why its taken so long for you to reply.
they did test his vehicle and refuse to issue plates.
a few minutes later and a telephone call to mr mcleod and the plates where put on his vehicle.
and he is on the road.
they tried to issue me with a one day license, when i explained to them that i had evidence of there illegalities, they quickly phoned mccleod and i had a set of 12 monthers.
people used to be intimidated by the cab office,as wages drop people are less inclined to take that sh*te
VIVA LA REVOLUTION

as for the other sisted applications a motion has been agreed to recall to the courts this should take a couple of weeks, once there granted then a test appointment is made and once passed there on the road.
i cant believe im having to explain this to you for the umpteenth time.
i was beginning to think your one of those mad conspiracies theorists.
but i think your actually just really thick. #-o

I certainly can't see any sign of any man bits in Toots's avatar - which, for the benefit of newbies, is a picture of Toots herself - indeed quite the contrary.

But perhaps the reason many people think she's a man is because when they come into an environment dominated by balding middle-aged men with big bellies then when they see a sexually provacative image of a female with her legs apart then they assume it must have been placed there by a male, not by the female in the image

But I suppose it takes all sorts :D

as opposed to what
middle aged woman with pot bellies
she does seem to get around, maybe she's a member of http://www.meetchubbiesonline.com

Says the ugly green fat thing with sticky out ears

16 more and i go Bankrupt

The number is insignificant to me as an individual MR AliT

20 plates as far as monetry value is significant to my vision of modernising the trade to provide a higher level of customer/driver safety  We will just have to hike up fee's and us individuals will have to take the increase on the chin, thanks Carpetbaggers, not all will be traded but a good few will.

Our trade needs money and the council need to find money for the policing of CCTV, we need Mobile cab inspectors patrolling the ranks, you know stopping seagulling, helping drivers during disputes etc, all leading to an expansion of the cab office including larger premises.

Non of this will come about if we keep dishing out licences on appeal, hopefuly this will be the last for a long time, the council though should increase fees for corporate companies/multi plate holders etc, us individuals and co-operative radio companies prop up too much towards the running of our trade, time to ask for a difference to be shown between corporate and individual.

As for crying about 20 licences i think not, you are more likley to be crying as you never got one of them, the council are on to you and you know it, good luck to the genuine guy's who plan to use their licence but to the carpetbaggers well enjoy it while you have it, a fool and his money are easily parted
