TBH it never bothered me, just bothered loads of my mates, and people I would never class as mates.

I will leave it for others to sort out, although the chances of them doing so are none.

Liverpool would be a good place for the AGM. Give everybody the opportunity to slap the taxi drivers whose bitching and moaning set a ball rolling. Apart from that you could hold it at the Hilton in Liverpool One  We could have a nice big pan of scouse and beetroot :D

Just tell everyone to leave their wheel trims at home.............

Imagine you had a private hire company that was based in Sefton but could be licensed by Brighton , to to operate in Brighton using vehicles licence by Sefton.... that is one possibility

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

my you are particular if you ask people were they are from when you are purchasing

Seeing as two senior members of TDO are casting beastly aspersions on me I feel the need to clarify.

I haven't a problem competing with any licensed driver and vehicle no matter where they are licensed. That's part of the biggest problem within the trade i.e. in fighting.

However I do have a very big problem with operators trying to build up super fleets to flood other areas. They are quite simply a bunch of c****.

Unlike some on here, nevertheless, I'm quite confident that cross border super fleets will never happen. [-o<

So you don't mind having to compete with others.....even if they have lower standards and lower running costs than your own area?

You really are a good stick.

I'm a free market good stick at that.

However improvements in our standards has led to improvement in neighbouring districts.

So maybe trade reps from adjoining districts need to lobby councillors and LOs from elsewhere pointing out the value of standards.

Or maybe the Law Commission will suggest a national minimum standard.

Based on the London taxi knowledge would be nice. :D

I wouldn't put that type of faith in the law commission......they seem to appreciate locals are best placed to decide certain things.....except taxi numbers obviously

Maybe they will, so that the cross border super fleets can happen
