A barman says 'sorry mate we don't serve neutrinos in here'.

Seconds later a neutrino walks into the bar. :D



Now who is going to spend the rest of the year explaining that to Toots? 8-[

I think that one is basically a choice of humour one myself, basically it makes no real sence, a particle walks into the bar??? is there supposed to be some sort of time slip element in it, or it's ability to pass through matter??

Sorry, it's a bit of a why did the chicken cross the road one to me.

Shouldn't the joke be, a neutrino walks into a bar.

An hour later, the barman says: "Sorry, we don't serve neutrinos in here".

I don't think it matters how it's said because neutrinos pass through constantly

Yes, but presumably the joke's alluding the recent news that apparently neutrinos have been found to defy the law of physics by travelling faster than the speed of light.

Thus presumably a neutrino walking into a bar would be seen a good bit after it arrived.

Or vice versa. :-k
