You gotta look to doing something else then Eddie, napping is one quick way to a heart attack, the body needs uninterupted sleep, normally 6 hours minimum per day, 8-10 is better, and that is experience talking, I've known a lot of guys who didn't sleep properly die early of a tick attack.

Doom, did you never do it, "when you were in the Trade".

The speed at which our Ranks here in Ayr, move, make staying awake almost impossible. Sometimes there are 90 minutes between Runs!

I'm still in the trade Eddie, and no I don't sleep on the rank, if I ever feel that tired I go home, and as Dusty points out, it is the double shifters that seem to be the ones doing it, these drivers will cause us to have a tacho card eventually, and tbh if you could keep the thick out of the job altogther it would be a blessing, example, why work 90 hrs a week as a cabbie and make £200 when you can work for Tesco 45 hrs and Asda 45 hours and get £500 pw, it just shows you just how stoooopid some people really are.

To get a job at the above places you first have to pass through their system for employment and then work the hours they tell you and only having holidays when it suits them, that's a hard regime for some people

Doom: ~ for many years I used to sleep about 4 hours a night and then, after my Thyroid Gland was removed, I upped it to 6 hours. In the 60's and 70's, 3 hours was my norm, but when I started running the Restaurant, I found that I needed a little more.

Now however, the Cat tends to wake me at about 8 a.m. for it's breakfast and so I feed it and then get back for another hour or so.

Probably insufficient, but I find that I can't lie in bed when the sun is up.

So glad I didn't ask, having said that I think I've asked before. It must be shocking cos I've obviously blocked the reply from my memory

Are you suggesting sleeping infront of potential customers is the image the trade wants to portray ?

And there's no need to use that vulgar word is there [-X , if Toots sees it you'll be off the Xmas card list =D> , I thought we were all friends here 8-[ , I know I have a knack of spoiling your show but to say I touched a nerve is an understatement :-" , I think I took it out and snapped it in two this time :-$ .

No, just that you are a miserable c*** and maybe lack of sleep is a contributory factor.
