Are you claiming a case specifically relating human rights (in the context of the debate) and taxi licensing has gone before the courts?

No not particularly a taxi related case.

But either way.....your case is so strong you've never actually brought one on those grounds?

If you think you'll win, fine......I dont I guess thats why you havent done it.

You've been banging on about it for months, why?

I was told by the Head Registrar Of The Law Society, “Lawyers, will represent any case, as long has you have money" and there in lies the problem. He also went on to say that, unless you can get backing from a group, or can turn your campaign it into a public interest case, the legal aid board will avoid funding it due to costs.

As I have said many times before, the law, for the most part, is a commercial enterprise. It's not about right or wrong or justice.

The argument is spot on CC, it's getting it into court that's the problem.

Incidentally, my time has passed as far as driving a taxi is concerned but that doesn't change the truth of what I write.

Think of the big bucks Gary....you got to speculate to accumulate.....as long as they dont put it wide open if you win....coz then your plate will be worth about £25. But I'm sure gus, jaspar, ali t will all contribute to your funds....especially gus if they've re-regulated in Aberdeen today

I realised a long time ago if the balance of power did not change, driving a taxi would be a waste of time, irrespective of whether you operated in a restricted market or not. I've been proven right. It's about education and professionalism. That's what dictates your worth. The taxi trade is finished. It's a cesspit. :-|

I sold plates when it was an accepted practice that no one questioned. It's a changed world now. :-|

The half-daft Parents of a 13yr old boy allow him to go to School in a skirt, and HRA is seen to be upheld... is this really why the HRA was introduced ?. Sorry, I dinnae’ think it was. It makes a mockery of the real reasons why HRA should be a noble, “Act”, that should be part of all our lives. As far as the argument for de-restriction is concerned, HRA does not, quite rightly, apply. If it did, the legal-eagles who represent some.... would have challenged this a long time ago. They haven’t, can you guess why ?.

If you, “Realised a long time ago”, why did you not leave a long time ago ? The truth of the matter is you left because you were going to be emptied anyway !. Tell the truth man !.

Fairplay, the boy wanted to ware shorts in hot weather instead of trousers. It should've been his choice, bearing in mind girls are wearing skirts. Don't you get it? He didn't just have a point. He was right? #-o
