Well, that isn't your call, and it shows how you think that you don't like people who don't agree with you doesn't it.

I just think there's a place for people like you, and it's not on a public forum.
Somewhere with rubber walls and furniture maybe and one of those jackets with the wrap around sleeves.
You're right though, it wasn't my call.

Do please try to be original in your replies, I'm beginning to think I have an echo in the room

No echos in a padded cell, You won't be used to that.

Nothing to do with my liking him or not. Read his past posts.

Getting back to the original point please explain to me how somewhere like dublin could be your hoped for rolemodel ? I just cant grasp the more the better from a taxi driver ?

Read my past posts and you will find my views on Dublin.
Enough to say, you couldn't find a worse way to delimit than Dublin.

isn't it funny how all these guys who own plates seem to be the absolute masters in all thing not taxi driving.
im surprised you haven't been headhunted yet doom, thats headhunted btw not headshrank

Funny maybe, sad defo.

Still they have got a lot to lose i.e. their future leeching out of the trade.

And it's always someone else's fault.

As for Blackpool if anyone wants to know anything about their hackney trade they need look no further than the last Halcrow SUD survey.

2.4.4 The private hire fleet consists of approximately 440 vehicles and is predominantly controlled by ten private hire operators. In view of the size of this fleet relative to the hackney carriage fleet, it is evident that the private hire fleet is a more dominant force in the Blackpool taxi market.

So they may have kept their premiums with restrictions, but lost all the phone work.

Your future income would change for the worse, IMO, as you will not be able to hide behind restrictions any more, and your lot have lost all the phone work.

Because they don't have, nor need, restrictions to be the best.

Your income would be worse because you wouldn't have an endless supply of drivers, or not be subsidised by their high rents any more.

Well if you think knowledge of the precise figures is the point then perhaps you're missing it. The point, that is. And thus perhaps it's you who's the foolish one?

The current economic crisis was born of people buying into the illusion of ownership. How many times have you heard the phrase, toxic debt? The taxi trade is no different. Sooner or later the bubble bursts and everything collapses. Not only do you not own anything the illusion of ownership owns you. The owner finds himself enslaved to an ideal, which unfortunately, can't exist without a driver. The driver is therefore shackled to an owner who needs to keep him dependent. The argument seems to be, slavery is good for the driver but even better if you're an owner. :?

One thing I do know about Blackpool is that there hasn't been a HC plate issued since 1948. Image
